Property Surveyors France

Philip Atkinson the principal of "Property Surveyors France" has been involved in the construction industry all his working life. He therefore has over 40 years experience.

Alongside that experience he spent 3 years full time at university studying an RICS approved building surveying course, obtaining a 2.1 honours degree (BSc (Hons) Bldg Surv). Then as a post graduate student he studied for 2 further years, Architectural Conservation gaining a PG Diploma.

Under supervision he gained experience in practical building surveying at the end of which he passed the stringent "Assessment of Professional Competence" set by the RICS. He was admitted to the institution as a professional member and permitted to use the designation "Chartered Building Surveyor". Only members of the Building Surveying Faculty who have an approved science degree/diploma, and have studied the core areas for a minimum of 2 years and passed the final "APC" may use this legally protected designation. Other Chartered Surveyors are free to join the faculty but this does not of course mean that they are qualified to survey buildings.

Philip Atkinson is also a fellow of the "Association of Building Engineers" Most of the members of this professional body are involved in compliance with building regulations and the more technical aspects of construction and building performance.

Only qualified people can advertise on this site!

Having undertaken a renovation in France doesn’t qualify a person to advise or manage construction projects. Experience alongside qualifications is what is important. Professionals do not limp along learning from mistakes they are trained to do it right the first time
